Nisco Helpppp!

I bought those OBX racing headers on ebay that I told you about and here's what i'm so pissed about. They were advertised as spec for an 04 Tiburon V6 and yet they only have one holefor an 02 sensor, while my car has four 02 sensors. It was a waste of a day to find that out. I don't know what to do. I don't want to have holes drilled in them because it will probably void the warranty so does anyone know how to contact OBX and if they will do anything for me?

They are made for a Korean spec Tibs. They only have 1 o2 sensor. Just get the extra 3 o2 bungs welded on (yes, don't DRILL holes into the headers. Take em to an exhaust welding shop. They'll order the bungs and weld them on. Shouldn't cost more than $100, at most.) I really doubt that warranty will be good for anything other than toilet paper.

Also, why in the hell does your car have 4 O2 sensors? That's friggin ridiculous!

thanks good to know and in all reality, I have no idea why it does have 4 sensors but my friend pointed them out today.

you will have to drill the new bungs into your headers...
dont bother with trying to keep the warranty, having extra hole drilled into your headers is common, dont worry... theyll be fine

do you plan on adding a wideband 02 sensor on it? (for further indepth tuning?)

can you explain exactly what it is you mean about a wideband sensor? I'm afraid I don't understand. Also, I'll be eliminating the cat with this setup, how many 02 sensors do I need if any?

a wide band 02 is jus if you need very accurate numbers/ readings liek if youre tuning a s/c or turbo set up...

without teh cat how many sensors?.. i have no idea

there are 4 sensors. each 3runner-manifold has a cat right after the runners. there is an o2 sensor before and after the cat for each manifold.

any exhaust shop will be able to weld bungs on. it like 30 bucks for one. however, looking at some pics of those headers, it looks like they eliminate the cat. you WILL get a cel because of this, unless you buy an 02sensor emulator. it spits a false code to the ecu to make the ecu think cats are there and your car isnt polluting the atmosphere. please however, have a CAT welded in somewhere. i like being able to breathe.

also, there is no room for bungs on the actual headers. there is one on the downpipe though. what you will prolly have to do is get a bung welded right next to that one, for your second o2 sensor. in these two spots you will want to put the o2 sensors that are BEFORE the cat stock, in.

i would email obx though and ask for my money back. go with a real set of headers.

aww man, why did i have to buy that crap on ebay? Does anyone know a number or email addy to get a hold of OBX and even more importantly, what are a good set of headers for the V6 that I can afford. I don't know how spending a huge chunk of change off of sharkracing.com is good for me, also, ive heard of 4-2-1 setups and what not but i'm clueless, can someone please help me?

ssa is "OK".. nothing great.. but their 2nd gen headers should be much better.. much much much better than their first

V6 Tibs have 2 upstream O2 sensors (1 for each bank), and 2 downstream (post cat) sensors.
