glove experiences

i'm up for a new pair of gloves and was wondering ir anyone had good or bad experiences with some brands.

i'm looking at Dainese, Alpinestar, Spidi and Teknic.

before you all jump in and say shit about other brands, I'M IN AUSTRALIA

so i don't get the brands you guys get and i'm not prepared to spend top dollar on shit i can't try on, so that rules out net purchases.

i had dainese cheapies and they lasted one year. not impressed.
then had spidi carbo tech and have lasted years.

but am i missing out on good stuff from Teknic (violators) or alpine star

I like Alpinestar, that is the brand i use and when i went down my hands were fine, not one little scratch. I were there jackets too.

They're pretty good for GP-style street gloves, good feedback once they're broken in. I can steer the bike and wring its neck with confidence than if I had no gloves at all, reduces vibration as well. I'd give it a B+ rating, because there are better (comfier) gloves out there with pricier tag, but this is a bargain for what you get. As with most Teknic apparels, get one size bigger than what you'd wear. This one runs me snug than I would've liked. My next gloves would probably be without the cuffs though.

for me the Spidi Penta gloves are the same price as the Teknic Violators and top range alpinestars. all around $280AUS.

your lightning gloves are very close to my spidi carbotech's.

Pretty comfy, and still decent even after I rode about 100 miles through the rain with them on. Now they are just custom molded!!! :D

I would have to say Alpinestar because those are the only gloves I have really worn for a long period of time. I think they are great for the price, and they are not too bulky like some other brands i tried and they let me feel the bike more, as if i wasnt wearing gloves at all. Good stuff.
