2000 Pontiac rt outside mirror

I've had the car for a few years. My wife usually drives it but it bugs me when the rt outside mirror rotates downward in reverse. How can I get it to stay fixed.

What is the trim level of your Bonneville? This is a feature of your particular trim level. I believe you can disable that function through the Driver Information Center (DIC). Look in your owners manual for a procedure to reconfigure.
