HVAC Panel

Has any one here attempted to make there own HVAC panel overlay?

If so what type of material did you use?

And how did you get the backlight to work through it?

Any pictures of custom made HVAC panels would be great, I have a rough template of what I want to do just unsure how to go about doing it.
