Civic or 3000gt?

I am looking to get my first car. Should I get a civic to start with and save for a 3000gt, or should I just take out a loan for a 3kgt?

Thanks!

civic, 3000gts can be real fast and they're nice looking, but they are not anywhere near as reliable as a civic - not to mention the civic is cheaper

Ya, I think my cash will limit me to a civic.

And from what I understand, your average GT isn't really that fast...

But no doubt faster than a stock Civic :)

Get a CRX, you will forever be converted to Honda-World

Depends on how much money you have, and what your financial situation is. I would go with the 3000GT, it's going to be better, especially the VR4 (turbo and AWD)

depends on what you want it for really..if you're gonna be out being super racer boi, then get the 3000gt..but I personally drive 35 miles to work and then 35 back at night... Now i dunno what 3000gts get for mpg , but with prices these days I'll stick to my slow ass crx ;)

I only drive about 10 miles, so the gas shouldn't be tooo bad.

Well it depends on a few things. Your insurance is going to be higher on a 3000gt so I would get quotes on both first. Second regular 3000gt's are very reliable if you maintain them, the VR4's tend to break more and have more problems (what do you expect though it's turbo AWD).

Personally I would buy a Civic, save some cash, buy a VR4, then keep the civic as a daily driver.

If its 3gt Vr4...i'd get it even though its a mitsubishi. They get around 17 mpg on city. They're not really cheap cars either. On an avg they go about 12g's for a 92.

ehh, why wouldn't he? i mean sure a civic is a reliable car, but if i had the money i would take a VR4 anyday over my CRX............
