Check engine light

Ok I have a 03 Taco and ran into my first problem. A couple of days ago I was on my way to work, and was making a right turn right before I got to work. During the turn I heard one low thump. At first I thought my water jug tipped over but it was still standing. Anyway, as I was turning into the parking lot of my work place about 5 seconds later, I looked at the dash and found that the "check engine" light is now on. Toyota is taking a look at my truck next week but in the mean time, I was wondering if anyone else had any experience like this? :banghead:

well the check engine light could mean over 100 different things. just wait til toyota gets back to ya.
