different block?

Yo, I bought this Talon off a guy for $500, and the reason he was selling it is because he slid off the road when racing someone and bent the front end of the frame and now it was making a weird clank-clank-clank noise when driving. So a month after I bought it(because it was too damn cold), I jacked the car up and checked it out. The reason it is making the noise is because the oil pan was dented bad and it messed up the crankshaft and maybe scarred the block. :banghead:
I was wondering which block I should get, a 2g 4G63 block, or a 1g 420a block, because one of my friends built a integra LS-VTEC motor with GSR internals and ECU with a LS block because it was better, and his put out 402 dyno-tested horses. So I was wondering if the older block was better for performance.
Also, The guy who sold me the car put in a header, performance downpipe, and a high-flow catalytic cconverter, and he ripped off the muffler and put a dual tips on the end of the exhaust pipe. Will that help or hurt my power?
Also, how can I increase my intake for under 50 bucks? I heard that I can get a "universal" intake pipe from autozone, and is there a way that I could like weld two together to make it into a "cold-air intake" because It would be away from the engine compartment?

You are confused. 1g's didn't come with 420a's. They came with a NT 4g. 2g NT's had the 420. I say get a six bolt. Is the car NT or turbo?
The header and exhaust won't hurt your performance. It should help it. If you are turbo, there are not a whole lot of options for a CAI, but make a hardpipe from the MAS-turbo....some pvc piping or exhaust steel should do it. K&N filter to open it up when the pipe is in.
400hp on a N/A vtec swap seems pretty far fetched. GSR internals in a LS would never put 400 out. Have you seen the dyno? smells veeerry funny....i dont think ive even seen a 400HP n/a honda...
No way a 420 can put out 400 n/a horses.
