Hey all, I need to know two things:
1. Will Plasti-kote clear work on SMS Carbon decal?
2. Will Tamiya Clear work on top of Plasti-kote paint?
Thanks,
Nabil

1. Will Plasti-kote clear work on SMS Carbon decal?
I'd be very careful, some of those "acrylics" in spray cans (Plasticote, Kylon etc.) can be very hot, enamels and lacquers even hotter.
Testors Topcote enamel should be compatible.
I have also used the Testors Glosscote and Dullcote lacquers over them in light coats with good results.
2. Will Tamiya Clear work on top of Plasti-kote paint?
If you're talking about the X acrylics, yes.
If you're talking about the TS Lacquers, again most likely hotter than the Plasicote.
I'd avoid it.
Testors Topcote enamel should be compatible, but it does have an amber tint noticeable over white. You might get away with Glosscote lacquer, but you should test and give enough time for the paints to cure before committing them to a model.
Rule of thumb is not putting lacquers over enamels... - Mark
