Need Engine swap help

Hello all,

I have a 69 GTO that came with a Blown 73 455 in it. (Non Fixable). I have a 76 400 out of a 81 Trans Am. I want to put this engine in, but have NO clue what Motor mounts that I need. the 400 did not come with motor mounts.

The 69 Frame mounts are factory. The 73 455 motor mounts won't mount on the 76 400. What Do I do? I am very new to this swap thing.

Please help?

Sorry I didn't see this one sooner. Ames Performance and Performance Years both offer adapters to put the late block in the early car.

If you just lookimg for all out proformance I would go with solid mounts, If your worried about a big change in vibration it's just not true, I have been unable to tell the differance between solid and rubber, tho the rubber tends to give it's self away after you see that unknown dent in your drivers side valve cover......Power booster hits it after the rubber fails.
