egr issues

this is going to sound really retarded, but how much is the egr needed??? I am only asking because the new engine i put in my 92 has a different style egr bolt pattern and the one from the 305 i took out wont bolt on. the engine i put in came with a egr block off but that was when it was a carb set up. I decided to go with carb at first but now i am going to go with tbi, i have all the sensors plugged in and everthing is hooked up excpet the egr. will it run like crap??? I dont know what year the engine is so i dont know where or how to get a egr.

it's not needed but, if you live anywhere where they do emissoin inspections and stuff like that. good luck

yes it will.

Loss of EGR on an engine designed for it will cause a loss of power, possible misfire, lowered octain tolerance, higher combustion temperatures, richer mixtures, and if you have an O2 sensor on the setup it will trigger error codes and youll have a constant check engine light.

The car was designed for it, buy the correct egr valve and put it on.

yeah I would but its going to be hard to find the correct egr for it, the engine has a carb intake on it and a holley tbi adaptor
