Power Steering Pump Bolts

Anyone run across this problem? The 2 P/S pump bolts snapped off on my 95 PA (non S/C). One bolt left all the threads in the block, the other only half the threads. Looks like the one bolt had loosened until the vibration/tension snapped both. Luck I was close to home. Not much room to get in there with a drill and easy-out. Maybe I can cut a slot in the remainder of the threaded part and unscrew it? Any suggestions?

Hmm, used car? Just wondering if somebody put in cheepo bolts instead of grade 8s?
Not sure how the '95 is set up, but wouldn't going through the wheel well be of vantage? If not, if you're lucky and they are loose enough, I was able to walk a starter bolt out once using a tap, took forever but it worked, a liot PB blast helped.

I had good access to the broken bolts with the tire off and shields out of the way. I dimpled the broken end of the bolts with an awl and walked them out. I used lock-tight on the new bolts to prevent this happening again. However when reinstalling the belt, I found the tensioner binding so I decided to replace that too. Now I have to deal with those cheapo plastic fittings. I read on this forum about metal replacement fittings. Got to find some.
