Pitiful Ricers

Hey everyone, this is my first post here, although i've been reading them for about a month, just too lazy to register. Well my story this time is basically this: Me and a friend are driving around a the main road in my area for street racing in my stock 95 sl2 5 speed, because we thought it might lure some crappy ricers, as my car is a POS. Of course it did, and the first up was a brand new stock civic dude with his gf next to him. he gives me a look at a red light and i nod back. Green light comes and im 2 car lengths ahead. He points us to a gas station nearby where his friend is waiting for him. The friend pulls out a lump of cash and wants to race with it. I hold back a laugh as i look at his car. Bright orange 98 civic with fart can and every ricer touch u can do to a car. I ask him what he has in it and he says "everything except a turbo". we head out to a red light and gun it. Too my amazement :wink: , his car is slower than his friends stock civic. long story short, both cars smoked but he peels off before i can collect on the money. :banghead:

I had a green ricer civic try to race me, but he had a GSR swap, so i opted against it.

Welcome to the forums. Especially welcome to the Street Racing Forums. Glad to have another member. Sorry had to do it. So many ricer stories coming in here lately that I'm getting sick of the word "Ricer". Funny to me, but why the hell exactly is it that all apparent ricers are Hondas!!?? Hmmmm..? Well, another ricer goes down. How interesting. L8...

Perhaps I should clarify. It had a big H emlem in teh back window. A bright green paint job, neons... a body kit..you get the point. It had a lot of exterior mods and looked like it might be your common ricer. Turned out it could have probably burned my ass and run 14's easy. I saw a stock looking civic run 12's at the track last weekend, that was definately not a ricer.

Civracer95, trust me there aren't just honda ricers where I'm talking about. It just happens that its a honda in this particular one. There aren't anymore honda ricers i see than any other.

Regardless, I've seen far too many threads about "I saw this Honda/Civic/Whatever today. Total ricer. Big wing, Huge fart can, neons, blah blah blah!" The point is, you look in every one of these threads, and I swear to Gawd you'll find a post/thread that says pretty much what I just did. It's just getting tiresome to me. Well, yeah, just getting tiresome/RANT!!

EDIT: don't worry GForce, I've just seen it all too commonly, and don't think I am lashing out on you in anyway. Just stating how I feel towards the matter. More than likely won't change, but I'm just stating that it's bothering me. L8...

haha i understand. Dont worry, my next post will be a race with a mach 1, and has nowhere in it the word "ricer"

The point is, you look in every one of these threads, and I swear to Gawd you'll find a post/thread that says pretty much what I just did. It's just getting tiresome to me. lol how do you think i feel... with all these v6 mustang people making asses outa themselves. i think the reason u hear about ricer civics so much tho is because they are cheap and easy to do it to. but my fav ones are the riced out cavaliers... but yeah... whats with all the ricer stories recently, we should jsut make a thread for eveyone to put ricer stories in.

Maybe we can get a forum just for ricer kills? :dunno:
