this is going to sound extremely stupid. i was just thinking tho. i seriously was in the shower and lightning struck. i dunno if this idea has been proposed or anything. i think its crazy and noone can produce them in mass so its not going to happen.and i had no idea where to put this so i just came here cuz fourth gens are the best. imagine if anyone ever created an engine with these specs.

its an all aluminum v8.
double overhead cams on both banks.
direct injection. (higher compression ratio with turbos)
add supra twin turbos to both sides so you get no lagg whatesoever.
make it have vtec.
and make it dry sump.
with hemispherical heads
match that to a seven speed tranny.
and an all wheel drive system
with fully independent suspension on all four corners.

jeezus christ if someone built this.... it would destroy everyother thing out there. period.

Well, go for it. I would order one from you if you successfully built one. You could probably rev it up to about 8k, run a huge amount of boost, and get less than 10 mpg(arm and a leg)

lets make your dream a little easier. take a ford 5.4 liter v8 block overbore it. Drop in a 4.6 liter crank and the late 90's svt dohc heads. lengthen the con. rod and slap on two gt25r71>(maybe a little bigger) and your talking 700+ horsepower and a very sweet powerband.

Yeah if I had a turbo eclipse no way. I still can't decide if I want to go turbo with it or keep it as a daily dirver. With all the stuff put into my civic I don't want to rack up a bunch of miles on a built motor. Plus my eclipse gets better gas mileage.

i'll take the v8 and use it for a daily driver. bang your mom and 2nd at the same time.

Don't turbo you're '96 Eclipse. My friend had a '96 RS Eclipse (same engine as gs, 420a) and tried to put the Hahn Racecraft stage 1 (i believe) turbo set up and had nothing but problems.

Theres his first problem, the Hahn stage one kit doesn't even have an intercooler which is a big no no. Second if he used the FMU that was a second mistake. If I do it I will probably make my own kit. $3k for a turbo kit...no way. And the parts they use are not even that good of parts.
