Well what I had feared finally happened today. The latch on my hood for some reason released while I was driving, and I have no clue how it happened. I just turned out of my street and started heading down RT.20, just shifted into 2nd gear, only doing like 20mph,when out of no where I see the hood flip up on me. Pretty scary stuff, but I pulled an Ace Vantura and was able to see my way to the side of the road. I was able to get the hood down and drive the car back home at 5mph without issue. Closer inspection is shown in the pics below, but there is really no damage done to the hood besides a few scratchs and a couple small knicks. Thank you for the Cervini's quality!!! The funny this is I have hood pins sitting right here, that I had not had time to put in yet.
Here's a couple pictures. the rest can be seen at www.dork.com/hiflow50/hoodflip.html (http://www.dork.com/hiflow50/hoodflip.html)

My Stang did the same thing, but it was at over 100mph in the 1/4.

that really sucks, sorry to see that. the first thing i did after getting my hood back from getting it painted was install the hood pins because the same thing happend to my friends 92 lx when i was in the car at 65 mph.

I know that sucks. I had that happen to an 89 Dodge Shadow of mine. I hade just gotten done spraying some primer on it before work. I was in a hurry, forgot that I took off the latch and about 2nd gear 30-35mph the hood flew up, pausig at a perfect 90 degree angle from the the car. I could not get the hood back down so I had to drive like that for 10 mins back home with my head out the damn window.
