Just picked up my first Nissan!! Got it for a great price, has a bad cv
joint a broken passengers side mirror and it sort of smells like a cat
sprayed it! The real problem is the surging, it surges so bad it really
can't be driven safely. It just cycles from idle to 3500 constantly, no
apparent vacuum leaks and it has a new O2 sensor when I drove it, it seems
to run smoothly with plenty of power. Would a clogged injector act this way?
Where do I begin, don't want to have to bring it to the dealer!!
Does any one know where to access the lights to read the trouble codes and
the procedure to access and interpret them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Kevin

sounds like a bad MAF sensor.
it is located between the airbox(or cone intake filter) and throttle body.

We had a similar post last month and I recomended looking at the Throttle Position Sensor, the guy went to the dealership and that was it! But if you don't want to go there first, try the old home remedy, remove the throttle body from the intake and give it a good cleaning and then grease the linkage. You might want to have the fuel system and injectors cleaned professionally which will run you about 100 bucks.
