I have a 92 Plymouth Laser, same as talon/eclipse. The mass air flow sensor is inside the stock filter. I want to upgrade to performance intake but then what will I do with the sensor? It will not fit into the performance pipe and filter? I know about the resistor "chip" that can be plugged in, is that all I have to do? Please help me with the step by step intallation proccess so that I do not ruin my engine.
Thanks
Thanks

the sensor thats in the airbox is not the MAF, its the Intake Air Temp Sensor. DO NOT use those resistors, they will just make your car run rich and get lousy gas mileage. Most intakes will have a hole for the IAT to plug into, but if not you can just zip-tie it near the filter inlet.

Ok, so all i have to do is attach the new intake and not worry about the wires that would plug into the stock box? will it harm my car by not having these plugged in anywhere? Where is the Mass air flow sensor?
Thanks

get a k&n fipk. Doesn't replace MAS, then build a cheap hardpipe, and do the honeycomb removal mod for better airflow. also, if you can get a used 2gmas for cheap, it flows a lot more than the 1g
