I just put a B16A w/ the OBD0 into my 89 CRX Si and it will only rev to 3200 RPM and then it wont inject any more fuel. It revs and sounds great up to 3200 then the computer wont let it rev anymore. What could this be? We checked EVERYTHING. Any help would be great...thanks! -Reilly

is the b16a vtec, obdo or obd1? i just finished a single cam swap and have learned a little about obd swaps and stuff but i still dont have all the engine codes memorized

if the b16a is a obd1 engine then you should convert to obd1 or you can keep it obd0 if you change the dizzy to a obdo dizzy and use a vtec controler or rpm switch to activate that. it all kinda depends on what you have if i have the details i think i can help at least a little. especially w/ wiring.

i am not really sure, the p28 is obd1 let me do some looking around. what is the motor itself, odbo or obd1? is it vtec? what did the p30 come out of?

looks like the p30 is obd1. Ok i just did a obd0 to obd1 swap, it's not hard as long as you get the obd0 to obd1 jumper harness. if i am correct make sure you get one that has wires for a knock sensor and i think there is a air bypass sensor too, not real sure. but the jumper harness will make life easy on wiring. It looks like the b16a is also obd1 if i am reading everything right. so as long as you get the jumper harness and follow the directions for the wire connections you should be ok. you will have to add wires to the harness but it's actually not that bad if you take your time and keep track of everything, just don't get in a big hurry and leave y our dizzy wiring uncovered until you get it started cause there are a couple of wires that you can't tell which one goes where and if you have no spark then you switch the two wires. on my swap the obd0 white wire coming from the big bundle of wires(you'll know what i am talking about when you see it) goes to green/yellow on the obd1 dizzy and the other obdo white wire goes to the obd1 white wire. that was the only trouble i had on my wiring, i had to make some wires longer to reach sensor and stuff but it is not all that bad. Hope all goes as well as my swap did, once i got it fired up i very little adjustments to make.
