Well my 16th Birthday is coming in about 5 months, and i've been thinking... in about 4 months I'll be starting Drivers at my high school.

I'll need a good cheap (or as cheap as I can get) and I was talking to my friend. We both know I love the Evolution (particuarly the 3 & 4) and he suggested the mirage. He says they have the same body, but to make it exactly the same I'd need the right body kit. I've tried searching yahoo.com and google.com but I'm not getting the answers I want.

What I'm asking for is what year mirage, what body kit would I need, and if its even worth doing this than just importing an actual Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.

Thank you for your time and i hope to get the best answer i can.

so here's what you do , you get a 5th generation mirage (i know for shure they start in 95 but im not sure when they end , i thing iether 97 or 99)
this was the JDM spec lancer the evo 5 and 6 were based on so thats the bodykit that would fit best . how ever , there are bodykits for pretty much every generation evo that would fit a 5G.
you may have to go with JDM headlights and hood in order to make the bumper fit though .but a complete kit includes hood fenders bumpers skirts and wing so it just depends on what you wanna do and spend on it .
then all that is left is the engine , your mirage will run either a 1.5 12 valve or a 1.8 16 valve . the evo runs a 2.0 16 valve twin cam turbo (1g93T) this will be the hardest part because of the direction in wich the engine is in the 5G , you can not use a eclipse engine . so what you need to do is find one out of a lancer and swap it , wich is relatively easy
the last real difference between your now fully modded miravolution (thats what the comunity calls it) and a real evo is the drivetrain , you run FWD the evo 4WD . you would not be the first to convert a mirage to 4WD but it is hard to do and takes a lot of skills , welding and time

all together with bodykit , engine and drivetrain , if you can do this yourself you'r looking at 4000 dollar (give or take) ad that to the cost of your bone stick mirage and i garantue you there is no way you can import an evo for that

check out www.miravolutions.com or www.mirageforums.net for a massive knowledge base

Thanks ill have to learn how to do the complete steps for changing the FWD to 4WD. I'm trying to convince my mom and this will most likely work

Thanks for the advice and i was pretty sure that it would cost less not importing an EVO
