1994 Explorer, good condition with low milage for age. Last week the fuel gauge stayed on empty when I started it for first time that day.
Does gauge have a fuse? If so, where may I find it?
Any ideas, solutions or ??
Thanks in advance :iceslolan :naughty: :screwy:

There is a fuse under the dash that controls it, but I think it is tied into other parts of the dash gauges. There is a likelyhood the sending unit in tank is bad also. Check all fuses first though. I am not sure if it is separate or with other gauges. Good luck. (my wiring only goes to 95) Sorry.

Sorry to say its most likely gone the way of most 90-94 Ford and Mazda gas gauges. It is the old cracked float that fills with gas and will now stay on the bottom even when full. I have been living with this for about 3 years and I just reset my trip OD and refuel at 250 miles or less. Or you can drop the tank and replace the float.
Sorry for the news,
