Here is another one of these "slightly detailed projects" I have been hankering to build.
Some updates to the body include shaved side emblems, body colored rear apron and light clusters. front end is not finalized yet... but should be a pro-tourer style. Candy Lime green metallic Tamiya paint.

The engine is almost done... between aluminum parts and cast metal parts the thing weighs a ton... Transission is resin and not finished yet. The air cleaner is aluminum, so are breather caps, pulleys, distributor, etc. the belt manufacturer logos are on, so is the oil filte. Demon carb is resin as well.

Here is the money shot... engine looks good in contrast with lime green...

Welcome comments... BTW - Haven't picked the rims for it yet.

Is that the kit, molded serpentine belt, or made of tape? Where did you get the decal for it?
I only have one other comment:
HOT!

Um...What is your definition for insanely detailed? Because if slightly detailed looks that great, Im afraid of heavy detail. Great work! The engine looks fantastic.

awesome. i built this same model in mopar factory green go. it looks amazing in that color. your's is almost spot on and looks amazing. GREAT detail on that engine. just watch the front end. the spindles sit too far forward for it to look correct. not sure if you will be able to fix it or not.....oh..this is the AMT kit right? lol

thanks everyone.
Willimo - the belt is molded in plastic, painted and decaled. for manuf. marking I use aircraft decals in 1/20 scale for bomb warnings.. they are too small for anyone to really read, but look good when they are on... sort of realistic.
The paint is not meant to replicate Green Go for factory Mopar, just never used lime green before and thought it would be cool... this is a Pro Tourer.. so the paint is a modern, metal flake paint.
As far as wheels go, I am looking at some 18-19inchers, not 20's. I would love to get a hold of some Koening or 19 inch Luxury type 1 or 2's.. we will see, most likely the wheels are going to be painted body color with chrome lip.

that colour looks so spot-on for this car, and the engine that goes in it is way too good to be true, it's another masterpiece from you in the making, where will it stop?

Update time. Body polished and detailed with panel lines, side reflectors, glass and badges. Came out pretty darn electric.
Chasis detail, mostly paint detail, also started on the firewall, radiator and bracket supports. Slowly but surely...

High detail is casted on your forhead. You can't escape from it!
But then again... show us more, it's all right, we "belive" you. :grinno:

Sorry I haven't posted any progress pics yet, but I am having a hard time choosing rims for this ride. I might have to go with color matched fatory wheels... the chasis configuration is all wrong for custome Aoshima wheels.
