I've been staring down two cars for the last few days, and I need to make a decision fast. They're almost the same price, the camaro is slightly more.

96 Trans Am 5.7L -$5,100.00
White, 78,000 miles. Original engine, well maintained, good body, leather seats in good condition, tape deck, air blows cold, no mods at all. To be purchased from a dealer.

94 Camaro Z28 5.7L -$5,200.00
Dark Green, 190,000 miles on body, 14,000 miles on engine. Semi-well maintained from the looks, couple dents on the body. SLP intake, BBK throttle body, aftermarket exhaust, programmer, other small mods, expensive sound system(that i dont want, dont need the extra weight), cloth seats(ripped), air cond is weak. To be purchased from private party.

Although the Camaro is faster, I'm leaning towards the Trans Am. What do you guys think? I need to make the decision today.

P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated. R.I.P. Mitch Hedberg.

Get the Trans. Better way to start. I love Maros but... Shit thats a hell of a deal. =) They are both F-Bodies. Asides you wont have to worry about little things adding up with the TA compared othte maro with almost 200k miles on the body.

Well it depends on who did all those mods on the camaro. If the mods were done by a person that knows what they are really doing then i would go with the camaro but if not than the transam

Should I be willing to go as high as 6,000 if necessary? or would that be too much.

Wait , why would you have to go that high ?. I thought the price was 5,100.00 and How could you look at that car and not want it?

It's on an automotive bidding site with 2 hours left, i'm still the current winner, and I do want it, but i've always thought camaro's weighed a little bit less, thus were slightly faster.

Dude, your talking about maybe a tenth of a second and I would be weary of buying a car online but make sure you check it out before you hand over the cash. Good Luck

i would be weary of buying a car online also, however if you think of all the people that buy cars off of ebay and autotrader without seeing and driving them first it cant be THAT bad of a way to get a car

I bought my maro that WAS on ebay... then I flew to see it and bought it after the auction. Depends on the person selling I guess.

I can say for him that it isnt, there use to be a sign in his sig that said that.

My father bought he Corvette kinda off ebay. What happened was my dad won a 1991 Corvette off ebay, when he went to look at it, it was crap. After my dad test drove it, he was going to buy it, but the guy really didn't want to see it after all, so he let him keep the car. The guy then refered him to a friend that had a 1993 Corvette, which he bought.

I would say the Trans Am too, but one thing sorta catchs my eye. Its low on miles and it being sold by the dealer for a bargain price... Take it to a dealership or something and have a full diagnosis on it before you sign anything

Go with the TA. 78000 miles and it's all stock. Definetely the way to go. That way you can mod the car which ever way you want without worry about other mods that are already on the car. That car looks freakin nice. Please buy it, for our sake.

Last minute bidding went crazy, it went for 6,100.00 With taxes and licensing, it would have been almost 7,000, which i do not have in cash. Bummer. Oh well, theres always another auction, that's one thing ive learned in my shopping. My bank balance keeps growing as i wait, and sooner or later i'll get a good deal. Luckily i still have my 04 cavalier, although boring, it gets me around in moderate comfort and still looks good... i'm craving speed though, and the cavi sure as hell doesn't bring it.
