spool or posi

Im rebuilding a 69 camaro with a 502 and powerglide transmission. Im trying to make it street legal high 10 second car (9 with nos) I cant decide on a spool or posi simply because with a posi when I go to the drag strip slicks are going to snap that in half...plz noone argue with me on that..ive done it before..but with a spool corners are going to be difficult and it going to wear my back tires to nothing. Most likely im putting drag radials for rear tires not sure of the size yet..but anyways wondering what you guys would do Thanks.

well, the spool would be the best for the strip, but dont ever take the car out in the rain. If you plan on ever using that "street legal" part i would go with the posi.

I have to ask, what rear end are you running, my uncle had a 69 with a 1050hp 500cid V8 that ran mid 8's in the quarter and it was street legal. and im pretty sure he ran a posi just fine. He was running a 12 bolt if i remember correctly.

So pretty much, if its just the strip, spool, if you ever take it on the road, posi.

Get a locker. or an Air locker. Posi burns up clutches and spools cill the rearend componets
