I know a guy that wants to sell me a chevy 307 out of a 72 c-10 pickup. The trucks rusted out but the motor is fine. It has a cam matched with the edelbrock highrise and stock heads with a holley 670cfm carb on top. Any idea on what kind of gain I would get from such a setup when coming from a 305TBI? The motor and parts plus a bunch of dress up kits and tranny cooler come with. All for $400 dollars. Any advice would be helpfull. Thanks.

Suicide is your only answer :loser:
307 was a GREAT little chevy motor, of that year, the 302, and the 307 were good motors, and the 305 was crap.

Chevelles came with 307s!
Personally I wouldnt replace a 305 with a 307 even if the price is good. I would just save for a 350 or 383.
