looking at '92

i'm currently looking at a '92 blazer 4.3l v6 4x4 auto. Any thing i should be looking out for?

Yes, have the cpi injector and nut kit checked for leaking.

See if it starts right up or if it takes more revolutions to get it to fine initially.

Check for maintanence and fluid changes and check.

was told it had regular maintence, they only want $500cnd for it, and I should be able to get it on the road for another $500, it had a leaky return line on the gas tank

Does it have the thottle body or CPI injection system.

Round filter on top of the engine = TBI

Spider plenum on top with the vortec name plate on it = CPI

Install a aftermarket muffler.

well it took an additional $1000 cnd, it needed complete exhaust from manifolds back, fuel pump, sending unit, so total $2200 cnd.

Set some money aside for a CPI injector and nut kit replacement.

You paid $2200 to fix all that?
