Doesn't the Hypertech allow you to match the speed rating of tires? The highest on the programmer at 128? Quick trick to boost power... hmm... I don't know of anything "quick" that would really be worth the power gains noticed.

Yea, you can set your speedo by specifying what size tires you have.

so the speed limit of a truck like that i heard was 109, if there was no speed limiter, what would the top speed then be?

I have an '02 that's governed at 97. A family member of mine has a 99 Silvy that was governed at 99 mph until he bought the hypertech and moved it to something like 125. The top speed of your truck will depend upon, weight, gearing and motor quite a bit. Someone a while back posted that they reached a speed of around 160 with the 5.3L I believe. I dont remember if it was all motor or not.

yeah i dont think a 5.3 could do even close to 160 without mods. i have a 350 that is in my non-computer controlled truck and that engine maxes out at im guessing roughly 110 on the flat

If my V6 were not governed I'd have to say it would max at around 120. If I remember correctly, at 95 its in 4th gear at just under 3000 rpm. I should add that I've got the 3.42 rear end and auto trans.

as long as the engise has enough torque it will keep going until it maxes out rpm's
