replaced the crankshaft front seal...its pressed in good.
but i wound up completely removing the timing belt and now think i have the CRANK KEY lined up correctly but not the CAMSHAFT.
I have the CAMSHAFT with a dot lined up with a notch on top of the Valve cover but where were these marks about 60 and 80,,,or an E mark.
i need to get this car back up and running so if someone could answer these Q's asap.
Also i screwed up by not setting TDC first. so i need to square that problem as well...

on crank gear there is a dot that lines up with mark behind it, crank key should be straight up. on cam the locating pin should be straight down and the dot or line on gear should be straight up and it should line up with mark on metal plate behind it

Okay i got that part down they are all lined up but i took out the pulley tensioner and the adjusting tesioner piece has that little tab, does that go in the hole on the back of the pulley ? and how do the spings pull down to the screw ?

There is a good picture of the tensioner set up in the aftermarket service manuals. It's worth the 10-15 bucks to get one. You may even have one at your local library.

On the tensioner there is a small piece on the bottom that has a hole in it , the spring hooks into that and stretches down to a screw in the case.
On the cam gear the 80 mark lines up with the notch in the back ,on the valve cover, whoever designed the cam sprocket with 15 different marks on it that all look like they should be timing marks needs his a** kicked!,
the tensioner has 1 bolt hole and on the back should have 1 small hole for the adjuster, just put the 2 parts together and run the bolt through ,slide it up to where it mounts and hold it against the block while you tighten up the bolt so there is not enough slack to let the adjuster fall back out, then you can hook up the spring ,or have it dangle from the adjuster and then just pull it down to hook it up . I hope this helps
