Depends on how damaged it is. if it's really horribly bent out of shape and so messed up you have to be violent... get a crowbar and a hammer. pound and pry. taking care not to damage the place where the panel is mounted. this is assuming you can get the screws out. if it's just scar damaged then it's gonna be a somewhat simple job. I had some help with my damaged pannel and we had it off in less than 10mins which I'm pretty sure is slow.

If your heart is set on a new one order from GM.

well I got a 2 door and the only way I can get to it it to take the seat belt thing off to get behind the plastic side panel in the interior. I can't get the stupid seat belt thing off for the life of me.

Even if I do get the dent out, they really screwed my paint up.

@_@ too many reposts

my advice to you. talk to your insurance. it wasn't your fault. that or take the old guy for his cash... old people are rich.

If it wasnt your fault insurance should pay for a body shop to fix it

Nah, insurance isnt paying for anything. I just got my system stolen the other day and they wont even pay for the door lock because they pried the door lock right out of the door and now I cant lock that door.

But anyways, I went to the junk yard and they were going to sell me a perfect rear quarter panel for a 2 door red cavalier coupe for 175.00$.

What the guy told me is that it would take about 800 - 1000$ to actually put it on my car because you have to go throught all of the crap of getting the first one off. I dont know if this sounds right.

Anyone ever have to go throught this?
