I'm just wondering how difficult it is to change the water pump on a 94 3.4L V6. The pulley has some play in it so I want to get it changed before it goes completely out. If anybody who may have done it before could let me know how hard it is and if there are anythings to specifically do or avoid doing it would help me out a lot.

I had to change the tensioner and when I had the belt off I checked the other pulleys and it had some play in it. Also when it runs the water pump pulley shakes quite a bit, just scares me I'd rather replace it now rather than have it seize up on me.

well changing the pump wont make the pully tighter, u may need to replace your belt or adjust your tension pully. as for the pump itself, i changed it in about 15 minutes, take the belt off, grab your ratchet and loosen the bolts on the water pump and presto its off. then slap on the new one, bolt her down, and put your belt back on.its as easy as changing a tire.
