AHHHHH NOOOOOOO
ahh theyre sooo hideous...
(jus my opinion)
open the hatch.. remove the felt pieces covering the area where the tail lights would be (3 screw type things hold them in place)
there are 3 bolts, and a wire connection... youll need either a deep socket wrench, forget what exact size, or take off the interior paneling, and use a regular wrench
unconnect the wires, unscrew the bolts (DONT LOSE THEM)
what i found to be teh easiest way to get them out (because they can be stubborn).. go in your hatch and use your foot pressure on the bolt/ screw that would hold the furthest part of the tail light... push that one out.. and they should come right out.. but becareful they dont drop to the floor...
geez i hop that made sense.. its late and im in teh middle of studying for a test and writing a paper...
and if youre looking to get rid of your stock tail lights, i might be interested in them
lemme know if that works, or if you need any further help

i'l probably end up keeping my stock lights and make them all red with that little strip of red that covers up but for now, they look soooo badass. They are the 3d's so when u stand a few feet back it looks like each bulb is level.

yeah... i would do what rickna suggested.. i didnt even think of that... definitely paint the tail light trim to match the body color... it helps a bit with the ugliness of them haha
and yeah rickna, id have to destroy those if you came over with them...
and then had you them back.. piece by piece

I dunno, they don't look to bad to me, I'll have to look at it a bit more. If I do though, what kind of paint do I use for a Alpine White tib, what preparations do I have to make? I'm not very good in the painting dept. Any suggestions?

nisco,
on newtib they were talking about getting performance from a "full exhaust" as opposed to a catback, what did they mean exactly. Is it a "full exhaust if you include headers in the picture? for example, I just got OBX headers and i'm ordering EVO2's, would that cover everything?

oh yeah,
btw, my buddy told me you shouldn't touch the bulbs on the headlights but does the same apply to the taillights? I might have grabbed them when I took out backends yesterday.

the headlights are sometimes more delicate then the tail lights because they have to produce soo much more light, touching the back lights shouldnt do anything..... i dont like the altezza tail lights either but id like to see a car with them painted.....

any time you touch the bulbs.. touch them with a tissue...
liek grab em with a tissue...
headers and exhaust is fine...
i think they mean full exhsuat like a straight pipe, no cats....
your set up should be fine
the headers will be a bitch to install.. if youre doing them on your own.. its a pain because it takes forever...

Speaking of tail lights, it would be great if you guys would upload some images of your vehicles in the gallery or in the threads.

ok, now that looks sweet but I dont think painting the borders would look good on a white Tib, the chrome kinda accents the car a bit, what do you think?

I think you should look at it as an overall plan. What I mean is, if you have chrome in the back you should ballance it out with chrome headlights in the front. That would look sweet on a white Tib.
