ok guys im working on system # 2..
when my tax check comes in im gonna buy the CDT EF-61 comps.. and put them on my coustic 2 channel. but now that ill have decent SQ i need a sub with a little more SQ and yeah of course i need it a lot louder lol (what i thought wanged before now isnt what it used to be.. ears are getting broken in lol)
OK.. so sub options.. i have liek 5.5 cubes, want to go vented, want SPL, but better SQ than the CVR. cant put more than 1000 wrms on it w/o alternator. umm.. what else.. budget like 350.. and yeah did i meantion i want it to wang? hah
SOOOO.. options
15 avalanche (but worried it wont have enough output)
15 SX
15 RL-p
15 IA lethal injection (not sure about output compared to others/when it comes out)
3515 DD (prolly no SQ though.. and a lot of cash)
15 kicker L7 (prolly most spl.. but not great sq)
and im open to any other options guys throw em out to me.. i need to start planning for my 1st actual system hah
leaning toward SX so far?.. will it give me enough output???
opinions from everyone please

I haven't even heard mine for real yet and I'm already wishing I had something else :p... From what I've heard the more experienced guys saying, output depends a lot on the actual install vs the ratings on the sub. I'm sure you know this, I'm just thinking you may want to get something that sounds nice turned down (when a cop is going by) as well as when you have it cranked. Ported will definately give you the increased volume you're looking for, probably regardless of the sub you choose.

I have two eD 12k's. These are the 2003 e-logo style...much better than any of eD's current stuff. This was back when they were quality...and not assholes. They're in MINT condition...they are comparable to RE SE's...would work AMAZING with your space and 600-1000 watts rms. Hit me up if they sound even remotely interested...I'll sell them CHEAP.

hmmmm.. well sounds interesting but i dont know anything about these subs.. can you give me some specs/ soem info on how you think they sound and what kind of spl theyre capable of (are they as loud and sound as good as SEs.. cause if so then ill do that in a heartbeat.. mostly spl im concerned about.. im sure sq is good.. but i want some good spl and want to make sure those would give that to me)
also, i wont be buying til summer cause these comps are takin my money now.. so i might be interested if youll still have them then.. but fill me in for now.
and stang.. yeah i didnt put DP down cause im pretty sure thats out of my budget.. and not sure how much power it needs

Well, get back to me on the comps too. I'll cut you a DAMN good deal if you buy those comps and the woofers!
The subs are great. The SQ is as good or better than the SE's, and the SPL is like a tad below. In the correct install, it'd be hard to notice a difference in output. They're GREAT subs...I loved them. My first setup that was actually GOOD! They work well in sealed or ported...I loved them ported tuned in the low 30's. Only need 600rms for the pair, but you can send them 1000rms easy ;)
Hit me up, I'll work with you and work out a price for the components, the subs, and I'll even through in a free custom ported box design ;)

if your mostly concerned with spl, the 15 L7 will do it for you. I dont know much about some of the other brands you listed other than what i have read on their websites and on this forum. ive heard some pretty loud ass systems done with L7s. SQ might be hard to accomplish. i beleive that the shape of the sub is what causes the bass response to be lower than it should for the price. somethin in that square just doesn't sit right with me. however, i am sure that the kicker website will offer info on how to port and tune the L7 to get the best possible. for the price they want for these subs i wouldn't recommend buying and trying without knowing. as far as spl, if you want your system to pound, they will work fine and i would recommend them. for sq, try to find someone with a decent sounding L7 setup before attempting it yourself.
