Disable DRL's

I have a 2000 SE and I want to pull the fuse in the engine compartment. It is #22 in the manual. It is a bigger fuse than the normal fuses and I cannot seem to get that thing outa there. Has anyone else removed this fuse and just turned their headlights on manually? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know if you can disable the DRL's, I believe that they are a federal requirement for cars since sometime in the mid 1990's. They are considered part of the cars saftey equipment.
