I have a 1999 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L with automatic trans.
Car starts fine in cold weather or in the morning after sitting out on a cool night. The car also runs fine once started.
PROBLEM:
When I go to leave work and the weather is warm the engine will turn over fine but it will not fire until I've turned it over two or three times. It will also sputter sometimes as I turn it over like it wants to fire but can't. Again, it runs fine once it’s started. If I stop somewhere on the way home, when I come back out the engine fires right up, no problem. I'm stumped on this one. Whatever it is it appears to be related to warm air temperatures and a cold engine.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Could be many different things. Might be a clogged fuel filter. Sounds like a fuel related issue. Try changin the filter.
