good cigarette lighters?

Where can I find some. Cheap POS at AutoZone blew 2 fuses. Got another one, and it did the same thing. Where can I get a decent one or are there any decent name brands to look for?

Go to GM dealership and buy a proper one if you chose to smoke cancer sticks.

I suggest just going to the dealer and ordering one. Even though the part will run you about $80, then maybe another $25 for installation, $35 for labor, and $110 for an extended warranty :tongue:

I hate when people smoke and drive. just another reason for them to be distracted and hit me while they're not looking.

GM uses a Casco lighter, made in USA. The cheap auto parts stores stock made in China lighters that will cause your fuses to blow. If I remember right the whole smokers package for my 2002 Cavalier when I bought it was $16, and that included the ashtray. The car was already wired with the lighter socket. I'm assuming you just need the lighter itself, not the receptacle. BTW if you want to kick the habit, Zyban worked for me. Haven't smoked a butt in almost six years. The wife started back though and I gave up on trying to get her to quit. Just remember that a ex-smoker is kinda like an alcoholic. Once you quit you can't touch any tobacco products whatsoever. Ok enough preaching.

Smoking while driving isn't nearly as dangerous as people who think that because they're driving a "safe car" it excuses them from driving safe as well.

if you drive around one handed enough or drop the cigarette onto something that catches fire and starts to smoke let me know how focused you'll be on the road. I've been in a few near misses and guess what they were all smoking. so feel free to disagree.

I don't mind smokers don't get me wrong but there's a time and a place.. besides... it doesn't make the car smell all that great.

Very well inarifennec. I don't know about you, but everyone I know drives with one hand a large percentage of the time. It's not the handyness of it, it's the distraction. That's why cell phones are far more dangerous than most anything else.

I always drive with 1 hand and smoke while Im driving and havent had any problems. People just dont pay enought attention to the road and other drivers.

I don't smoke and drive :grinno: too dangerous.
I use a hands free cell phone. that way I can eat my big mac and place my beer between my legs...... :naughty:
