Plymouth Sundance Fuel problems

Have a 1993 Sundance that had a holle in the fuel line which has been fixed, but now it acts as if it's sucking air whenever the gas tank gets down between 3/4 and 1/2 full. Fill it back up and no problem. Checked the tank and there are no leaks that I can see. Any ideas as to what could be causing the problem?
