found new project

My brother-in-law is giving me his 89 RS 305. The body is in great shape with no dents or rust or anything. All it needs is a rear spoiler and front bumper cover. From what I heard, they ran it without oil so I'm either going to rebuild it or just put another engine in it. I'm thinking of dropping in a 350 TPI or, is it possible to convert the 305 TBI to 305 TPI? That was another thing I was thinking about. The interior isnt too bad and the t-tops and the rest of the car are in great shape. I would put some pictures up but somehow my digital camera ended up in my clothes washer haha. Hope you guys can help me out with making a decision on the engine since I'm not technician.. thanks a lot.

just get a 350 from a junk yard and rebuild it, you can get them for cheap out of one of those cars and just spend some some time and money and drop it in there

You can swap the 2 induction system's but I think you will find that you may get a better deal just buying a 350 with a TPI out right and selling your 305 TBI. Check www.car-parts.com (http://www.car-parts.com/) and www.ebay.com (http://www.ebay.com/) . Good Luck
