Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 Service Engine

My "service engine soon" light stayed on today, and my air bag light flashed 7 times. Are the two interrelated, and if so, what does this mean?

need more info. At the least take it by local auto parts store and have the codes pulled and post whatever code they give you.

Could just be the lights, but get it checked out. My 'brakes' and 'air bag' light have been on for damn near 2 years. Been checked several times and nothing.
