I broke in my stage 1 clutch by launching as hard as possible whenever someone tried to race me. In other words, I didn't break it in, I just drove it. It's 4 years old now, probably about 25k miles on the clutch, and it's still going strong.

Yeah there's no break in period for a clutch, as far as I know anyway. Get it installed and go!

You need to take it easy on the clutch and mot drive it in one type of pattern over and over again for about 1-2K miles.

Yea and don't drive in a continueous pattern. ie: Don't shift at the same rpm in every gear and don't accelerate with the same amount of gas each time etc, change it up often.

Hmm, I've heard you're supposed to take it easy for the first 500 miles. Like no hard shifting, and no high revving. At least, those were the instructions in my bro's Centerforce and ACT clutches. I don't know about Exedy though.

Most likely the same for all clutches - I didn't read the instructions :nono: - I guess I shoulda broken mine in the same way, but it's working fine. I got lucky.
