HELP locked in ,can't get out

I've replaced the DS door handle an a 92, 2dr, GP se, no problem to fix .I, myself tested the new handle 6x at least. my wife tries to enter the dr,door and it will not work. I believe it is the short little rod that connects the outside & inside handle to the latch has disconnected itself, Is there a way to get to the latch w/o destroying to much of the interior panel ? any idea's would be much help thanks

i think its that little rod to. that is a common prob, that damn handle. if worse comes to worse, weld it.

Pull the door panel and check it out.
