well, a gigantic tree limb fell on my 03 EX sedan while i was gone fo spring break so that's kind of depressing. it's covered by insurance but it means i have to drive my mom's humongous GMC suburban, which is a fate worse than death. hopefully i will be able to get a rental car. hopefully it won't be a cavalier. yeesh.
does anyone know how difficult it is to install aftermarket pullies on a manual civic? it looks pretty hard. i put in a K&N cold air intake and that was frustrating but fairly easy, so im kind of not looking forward to doing the pullies myself.

if your talking about the crank pulley; the factory pulley is on there pretty good, so its going to take significant force to get that one off (they make pulley puller you can find at most part stores, helpful but not necessary) once off, clean up the shaft with a small wire brush and some kind of lubricant, coat with anti-seize, reinstall the key and aftermarket pulley (i highly recommend unorthodox for several reasons) remember to make sure you have bought the correct belts for this procedure at the local parts store. i forgot, the only main difference with the manual is having a friend hold the car in 5th gear and the brake pedal down firmly. note: when your done; start car and make sure no strange vibrations, sounds, belts are good, etc. then shutr'down, reset the ECU by pulling the fuse out for 10 minutes or so for recalibration, start car and let idle for other 5 minutes or so. good luck and tell us how it went when your done.
just wondering, what car are you going to buy now. i really like the '06 civic Si, it comes in a coupe again. i hear it'll have at least 160-200hp, they should be out in a few months, something to think about.
