First track day (for sure) April 22nd!

I was just checking a local message board that covers all the tracks where I'm from (mainly a dirt track board, but there is the one, lonely, drag strip, lol) and seen where someone had said they heard in a couple weeks the track would open.

So, I called the track phone (its like 2:00 AM here) and sure enough, April 22nd will be the opening day! Its a test and tune day. So either way, even if I dont get to go to one of the "big" tracks close to me, my first track day will be April 22nd! I can't hardly wait!

Well, the conditions will determine it more then anything, but it should pick up right where it left off, and that's mid-low 1.5x 60 fts, and mid-high 4.4x 330 times (last pass was a 1.551 60ft and a 4.488 330 ET-and I lifted once about 10-15 ft from the finish line-so it probably would have run 4.48-with a low number, or a 4.47-with a high number if I hadn't of peddled the gas once, but hey, I was trying to get back into my dial-4.51-which I obvisouly didn't, lol). I'm gonna get new slicks in the next little bit, and always before, that picked the car up a tenth.

I may try and go somewhere this coming weekend however (April 9), but don't know for sure yet.

Man that sucks, lol. The weather forecast for here this week is rain Wed-Friday, and then be like in the 60s on Saturday with mostly clear skies. Race day is always on Saturday (but test and tune is on Fridays) so if I do get to go somewhere this weekend, I MAY get to race, lol.

It is looking like my first track day will be in Bowling Green KY at the GSCA Buick Nationals.

Well, Bowling Green is pretty much on the opposite end of the state from me, lol. But I bet cars run good there since the elevation is lower.

I'd say where I race is very close to 2000 ft (or more) above sea level.
