Accelerator pedal sticking

I have a 2000 Sub, 5.3L and lately I have been getting in and starting the vehicle putting it into gear (reverse or forward it doesn't matter) and the accelerator is sticking. I have sprayed silicone spray on the inside at the pedal and on the throttle cable at the throttle body. Anyone know what I can do about this problem?

Clean your Throttle body. They are notorious for getting all gummed up with crap.
