Is there a way to read the vin number to find out the gear ratio?

Thanks,

Greg

no , but you can get your RPO codes and decode them , you gota google for a decoder but there out there , or... you can raise you rear end , have someone stand out and look at the tire, you spin the driveshaft and count how many times it turns b4 you get a full rotation on the wheel , my 93 gmc 1/2 came with a 3.73 ratio if you have something similar
