i recently bought a Jensen XA4200 400 watt 2/3/4 channel amp off of e-bay, ive got it wired to up and all but theres 1 problem, when i flip the switch on, the power/protect light turns red, then green for anywhere from 1 to maybe 5 seconds, then turns red again... im not getting any power to my sub at all... i tried hooking up the wires over and over again, but it still does this, even when i hooked jumper cables from the battery to the amp, the light still did this... any idea what could be wrong? thanx

open connection in the power wire going to the amp?
any wires touching?
maybe try messing around with its settings on the side of it.

i tried messin with the settings and all, but still nothin, theres no wires touching... i even tried hookin up a portable cd player to it and still nothin, the fuses are all good too. i need to find a connector for the high level input so maybe that will help...

If you unhook the speaker wires and the power, ground, and turn on are correct, then your amps gone.
Make sure to have a real good power and ground. Most of the times DIY screw that up. A loose ground can really mess things up

OOO yeah,,, A good ground!!
I had a bad ground when I installed mine and she would not work ... so I used an eye terminal and bolted it right to my trunk,, convently there was a hole right there lol
