my 98 aurora seems to be haveing some issues. when i step on the gas to go it seems like there is no power. sometimes it won't move at all.when i am going up even a small hill at 60 mph the car surges and tach starts bouncing around. it just seems to have hardly any power. the car has 110,000 miles on it. i just changed the fuel filter thinking it might be problem. no luck. and check engine light has been on for sometime now. any suggestions?????

my aurora did the same thing when my crankshaft sensors went out. there are two of them at the bottom front of the engine right next to eachother & they cost like $40 at autozone. to get them all the way out to replace, you have to take the a/c compressor loose,( but not all the way off, just loose), so its not as bad as it looks. i think the computer trouble codes read "crank sensor A" & "crank sensor B" , or something similar to that.

when my 98 had a simular problem I changed the plugs and wires and it ran beautifully again. If you end up doing the same, do not go with aftermarket plugs and wires, go with original equipment.
