:banghead:...I know that I should have posted in the Music forum, but I need desperate help and thought that more people would browse through this forum. If it needs to be moved, so be it. I'm such a :loser:.
So....I have a powerpoint presentation on a Jet plane known as the SR-71 Blackbird for my aviation class tomorrow, and I need some background music so that my fellow peers would not fall asleep. My presentation is 15 minutes long, so I will need a few songs.
Anybody care to help? I prefer something that doesn't have alot of words in it, but anything is okay, I'm not being picky.
OH, and this assignment is due tomorrow, so I'd apreciate any responses.
Thank you for reading and have a nice day, Andrew.

Sorry Colov99, no offense, but Top Gun music is old and has been done for almost every "flying" or "plane" video and stuff. Go with something more orignal and current.
Try some instrumental music. Maybe something from The Matrix movies soundtracks. There are some pretty "funky" music on there. Or maybe something from the "X-Files" TV series. It will tie in nicely with the "black, secret" plane that the SR-71 was in the past.

None taken I just used that becuase i usualy associate the SR-71 blackbird with the 80s. The x-files music might just work as long as its more of flowing, jerky wont fit with the style of the plane.
Edit: uranium.. if you have any questions on the sr-71 i can answer them quite well including almost all the variants of it. feel free to email and aim (sn viterri).

Im with the Top Gun idea, i mean come on, its Top Gun! You can never overplay the Top Gun soundtrack, when I see planes flying across the sky I feel obligated to sing at least a verse of "Danger Zone". Maybe throw a slide in there of Goose giving your class the finger would help keep attention...just a thought.
Either that or some Marvin Gaye or Al Green would definately get some attention in a dark room with nothing but the light of the projector.... [deep black man voice]awwwwwww yeeeeeeahhhhh.....[/deep black man voice]

If you use Top Gun then people will pay more attention to the music than they will you. Not sure if you care or not, just a thought.
Use something that won't outshine your presentation. Something like they use on Top Gear when they do a spot on a single car. Some mellow electronic/techno track would be best. :2cents:

Boy Sets Fire - Release the Dogs
Boy Sets Fire - After the Eulogy
I think hardcore type music goes good with any kind of transportation.
What about Slaughter - Fly To the Angels?
Kinda gay, but it would actually go quite good with the plane.
Is this strictly powerpoint, or do you talk during this as well?

"Back in Black" by AC/DC; the beginning would sound good while you're showing SR-71 take off.
"Dreams" by Van Hagar for the ending.
Top Gun music a bit cliche', but will work.
