is it 250k miles or 155k? find out of its the v6 or 4 banger. if its the v6 ask about the heads and see if theyve been replaced.

i wish i had the 4 banger. you can gear those things wayyyyy down. its tight. have a 200+:1 ratio. its awesome it cost a lot to do the v6s like i have.

Watch the miliage on the V6. Especially in the early 90's. I know of alot of head gaskets blow. I am sure you can find a v6 were you live for with less miliage for the same or a slightly higher price. Don't just buy cheap to spend a whole lot of money.
-- Some one was trying to sell me a 90 supra with 173,000 miles on it. I wouldn't pay his price because he said that he had never had replace the head gasket or had the turbo rebuilt. Well, why should I pay alot for a car and then have it break down on me.

theres a recall on the head gasket, and to this day, if it hasn't been done to your truck, toyota will do it for free and give you a free rental.
I had it done last year. And while they open up your engine, you can get some extra parts pull in, w/o paying for the labor required to get to those parts.

There is a recall on the headgasket, however it DOES NOT apply to everyone. I had a 1995 4-Runner with the 3.0L V-6, the headgasket blew and found out the hard way that Toyota doesn't include all of the V-6's under the Recall. Do some checking out before you buy. Good luck!!

No, not the Camrys - it's only the 3.0 L V6 3V-ZE truck engine

ive read though that the 3.0 was in the camry and then when toyota was coming out with these 4wd trucks they put that in there after the 22r, re, to give it more power but it just wasnt enough so now the 3.4 is in. i dont know, there was just some confusion when i was reading and how the block was the same but most of everything else was different. it was interesting.

The only V6 Camry engines I know of are 2VZ-FE, 3VZ-FE, and the 1MZ-FE. These are different engines than the one I mentioned above (3V-ZE).
