I've got tree sap on 2 of my three cars and just waiting for that stuff to start coating the 3rd.

All these products that I have tried that say they remove sap,do not work.

I read in another thread about clay.Is it sold at auto parts stores,or places like craft stores?

Is it applied for a specific time?

Thanks.

they're sold in autoparts stores
the clay is specifically made for automotive paint.
just check out the car care/wash isle.

it isn't really a apply and leave on type of thing,
you lightly rub your car with the clay, and as the clay passes over the dirt/sap it will loosen or pick it up. the clay will ussually come with some sort of lubricating spray, all you do is lube the piece of clay and the surface(keep them constantly lubed or you'll get scuff marks) and gently start rubbing the piece of clay back and forth on the paint.
its sort of like how a eraser on a pencil works.

a site i found very useful is http://store.yahoo.com/autopia/how-to.html

Clay bar should do the trick... If not try 3M Adhesive remover usually found in local automotive stores.
