Stalling in the cold for unknown reason..

Hey, I'm having a problem with my 1988 Toyota Celica. It won't start in the cold.. Well, it will start, but not if the accelerator is depressed. And as soon as the accelerator is applied, it stalls itself. It is fine after I drive it for about 30 minutes or so, and this problem only seems to happen when it's cold or raining.

I figure it is the choke, the fuel filter, or the fuel injectors. Does anyone else have any ideas?

If it has fuel injectors, it will not have a choke.

So lets assume its EFI and not a carbureted model.

I suspect your problem is electrical....the cold or damp is shorting something out.

When was the last time you changed the spark plugs and plug wires? If you can't remember, try a new set.
Otherwise, the throttle position sensor may be defective.

Could also be coolant temp sensor or the intake air temp sensor.

I meant the automatic choke. It is EFI. Be kind if I'm wrong, and it doesn't have an automatic choke either :P

It seems to be only doing it in the rain.. I'll try new spark plugs and leads.

If it is the throttle position sensor, the intake air temperature sensor or the coolant temperature senor.. Are they relatively easy to fix? Any information you can give me on them, to understand what they do a little bit better?

I was thinking of a leak in the intake somewhere (Vacuum leak).
