Ok, Im definately going to get my catback exhaust done by midas and I was wondering if they would just take my cat out and put straight pipe in? If they dont, is it possible for my to put in a pipe in place of it? How would I go about doing this, welding or just using clamps?? Or is there another way around it without buying a high flow cat?? thanks for the help

nope, they wont replace the cat. big fine. replace the downpipe with one that eliminates the cat. it will bolt right onto the midas exhaust.

would a 3" exhaust fit onto my stock cat though?

it would have to taper at the flange to fit.

my dad was saying something to me about midas making customs exhausts and shit...is that what you are doing? or are you saying you're having them install a cat-back you bought from somewhere? if you are having them make you a custom exhaust, how much are they charging you? i'm just curious because i want a catback :)
