2000 Ford Taurus Intermittantly won't Start

Hello everyone,

I came here because I am at wits end and am hoping someone who knows more about cars then me can point me in the right direction with the problem I am having.

I have a 2000 Ford Tauras SE, The problem I'm having is that sometimes it will not start. I will turn the ignition and hear "Click, Click, Click" but nothing else. I can keep trying over and over but nothing works. The only thing that works is getting out of the car. Locking it, and leaving it alone for a few minutes, then I come back and start all over and most of the time it starts as if there was never a problem. When the problem first occured everyone said "Starter". I had it checked out and 2 places said my battery and alternator were fine so I was of the opinion it was the starter also. So I paid around $180 dollars to get the starter replaced only to have it do the same thing again last night. Turn the key and all I got was "Click, Click, Click" Left it alone for 5minutes and sure enough it started. One weird thing happened last night though, when I went to leave it alone and lock it back up it did something funny. It wouldn't engage the locks with my keyless remote, it would try to like 3x but they wouldn't lock just make the noise as if they were. I played with it for a few, and noticed when I turned off the car my AC was still on so I turned it off, and got back out of the car and it locked just like normal. I don't know if this is sympomatic of my problem or not but I wanted to add it. Also, I thought it may have had something to do with the Factory installed Anti Theft system and the key's chip I was using having a problem or something so I switched to the other key which was virtually never used. It has still done it with this newer key so I don't think that is the problem either. Can anyone help me please??? Thanks anyone who can help.
